Remind me what bending the knee is all about?

I would have said that's up right near the top. Well done..... very good very very good.

1 Playing for Manchester United would top the chart.
2 Being one of the best players the world has ever seen.
(Christiano Ronaldo)
3 Being a shìt defender (Jacob Harry Maguire)

Also in the top 10 it doesn't help being Harry Kane or Jack Grealish.
Being Jack Grealish WAG gets up amongst the following pack.
Getting a Liverpool player sent off won't help you much.

If you play for a team these idiots dislike immensely then just being black is a good reason for them to chuck abuse.
Just being black is enough for some fans. They don’t even need to be an opposition player either.

Your very right. I've told the story of Paul Canovile Chelsea's first black player. It mattered to me as a young man, he was a Chelsea player I cared not that he was Black.
Disgusting what
that man took.

Read his story Black & Blue.

You assume that young people have choice over their lifestyle when they're growing up.
It isn't like that when you're growing up.
If they had a semi-decent stable household maybe that would be a good start. And plenty of kids do choose not to get involved in all that gangsta crap.

As long as we keep making excuses for this sh1tstorm, it ain't going to go away, is it bruv?

No cap, bro.

OK so what's the knee bending for?

George? The gun welding drug dealer
Online abuse? but only for the black players
Inequality? But only for poor black kids not the white ones.

Could it be for the slavery 200 years ago? Then why would the England team attend an immoral World Cup built by slave Labour?

Can anyone put their finger on it?

In the context of football matches, surely it's lost most if not all of its effectiveness. I assert it 'did' have a sit up and take notice moment early on, but now?

You’re slightly off in your quote. It should be ‘Rugby is a game for hooligans played by gentlemen. Football is a game for gentlemen played by hooligans. Cricket is a game for gentlemen played by gentlemen’.

I watch a lot of rugby and regularly attend professional and amateur club games. I’ve not heard any skin colour related abuse that can remember, but there is lots of nationality related banter in international matches that can get close to the line but tends to be self policed by the crowd If it starts going too far.
Always knew the saying as 'rugby is a game for hooligans watched by gentlemen, and football is a game for gentlemen watched by hooligans'. As for racist abuse at rugby matches, I can well remember when Gerald Cordle, a black lad, played rugby for Cardiff and he suffered racist abuse from opposition supporters, in fact, at one cup match he jumped into the crowd to confront his abusers, it's not just confined to football.
