I’ve got a set of these rods

I have managed to damage two of the rods. Is it possible to get compatible replacements as an economical option?

Thanks in advance.

A single rod appears to be around £10 with the risk that it may not be compatible. As some suggested, I purchased the same full set from CEF for £34. Thanks for the quick responses.

the cheapo sets I usually use are 1m each and sold in bundles of ten.
I still use YT2 trunking lids sometimes though and you can tape two ends together.
YT2 is semi-traditional to me. LOL

2.5 T & E upwards with a looped end still has it merits to us artisans.

The problem was that if you left a piece of YT2 trunking lid in a home overnight someone would curl it up and it would never go back quite right, that`s even when you told them not too!

On extra long fishes I have used 20mm conduit taped together with a coat hanger taped on the end

Will 8m. not be enough?
I have used all the rods on a couple of occasions previously when wiring some lights and having to go through a ceiling void. I found that given the length, the rods were curling back in places and having that extra length meant that they are likely to show up somewhere you are looking for them.
Also, my tools have got me out of a hole on many occasions and I am happy to replace them where required.

On a related note, can someone send me a picture on how you connect the cable to the rod end before pulling through please? I tape it like hell and hope for the best. This makes it bulkier and more susceptible to being trapped and coming away whilst pulling the rods through. Causing me agony on a few occasions.

I use the hook and make loop in the earth wire having cut back the outer insulation and the blue and brown leaving just the earth and then wind the hook till the loop is tight then a bit of tape to smoothen it all for pulling

a windsock thingy - a meshed tube that tightens the more you pull is available on sone of the better sets I think. Trained ferrets were not unknown around here a few years back.

A magnet for each (cable and rod) I`ve seen on very short cavity wall type situations
