I am suprized that the old shed wiring had lasted for so long, since the shed has had mice in it.

I have already caught 2 mice in the shed. :eek:
 
From my experiance mice generally don't tend to bother wiring, it is mainly squirrels and sometimes rats which cause problems.

We have mice running about in our house and garage and they really don't seem interested in the wiring.

Pipe lagging seems to be a favorite though

No just the bag of bird feed that was in a box in the shed.

I think that the mice must be living, either under the pallets inside the shed, or between the outside wall of the shed & the plywood on the inside of the shed, so in the insulation that is between the 2 walls.
