"Mr Grimsdale! Oh Mr Grimsdale!"

Superb actor who richly deserved his knighthood.

RIP, Sir Norman.

RIP, Sir Norman.

A gentleman who made people laugh. Many a time Ive watched him (as a small boy) when my mum recorded them onto VHS. My littliest now laughs watching the DVD's.

A brilliant guy IMO, who's antics are as funny now as they were when they were filmed. Quite a looker in his day, and a decent voice to match. Many people have said Lee Evans is the modern day Sir Norman. I disagree.

A true loss to the world of comedy, he was a great performer who certainly new how to make people laugh, without resorting to smutt, he will be sadly missed.

The man was borne poor, died rich and never hurt anyone in between.

Can't remember where I read that, but so very true.

And so sad to see so few responses.

As Wotan pointed out,

Sorry, I've been away from my terminal.

Yes indeed, Sir Norman was a true gentleman, the like of which will not be seen again. A cracking entertainer, who still has me in stitches when I see his comic performances.

I cannot not smile when I see him!

I echo all these sentiments. The World has lost a comic genius, loved by people for his humanity and genuine warmth.

Rest In Peace Sir Norman.
