A brave effort.
There's always a chance, and when England had that scrum on the Bok's 5mtr line that was the moment to roll 'em over - they blew it.
Still, a brave effort and at least they were carried off on their shields at the end.

Resorted to the kicking game where they kept losing possession and never looked like scoring a try.
Will they ever learn?

Nevertheless, would there have been a different reaction from the ref had it been the other way around?
Your falling into the trap of why the press want to cause a storm in a teacup.
What's said on the pitch should stay on the pitch.
I do realize rugby is now professional and no stone is left unturned when it comes to gaining an advantage but the players themselves should close ranks on someone running to the ref.who is playing a ' mans' game.
Footballers try to get opposition players sent off something I've noted has slipped into rugby union but thankfully not on the same scale yet!!!!!!

It's one of my pet peeves seeing players do things like that - running into an opposition player to 'earn' a free kick or a penalty, or falling over an outstretched leg that could easily be avoided. How does it work in rugby? I thought the 'Bloodgate' affair had been the tip of the iceberg.

For even the smallest contact you mean - Isn't there a campaign stirring to make all players wear protective headgear?

This is the problem if you sanitize the game too much it ceases to become rugby as we know it.
As I said before they seemed to have throttled back in giving red cards since Curry got one.
Imagine a final with a red card involved.

It's the same with football - Jeff Astle's family starting a movement to ban heading in the game because of the link to dementia in old age. It can't really be done without taking out a big part of the way football is played - or rugby. The NFL has really cracked down on head contact in any way, despite players wearing a helmet. But it makes sense when you see a 250lb linebacker crash into a quarterback at high speed.
I wouldn't like that bloody big bok, Stygen (?), banging into you at speed. It's not right: 18 stone and 6' 9"! How the f. do you stop that guy?o_O

Remember Jona Louma trampling over an England full back as though he wasn't there.
