Sex in front of kids

When, if ever, or up to what age, is it OK to have sex in front of your own children? Should they be taught that it is something deeply spiritual and emotional and part of a loving relationship between adults, or should it be locked behind a bedroom door? What if they see you at some point? Should you shriek and be embarrassed, or not make a fuss but stop all the huffing and puffing?

I think it's ok when the kids are so young that they don't know what you're doing but once they have an inkling then it would be awkward for the parents and probably embarrassing for the kids. It's quite possible to teach your kids your own views on sex without demonstrating. Once when my kids wouldn't go to bed I told them that they had to go up so that I could have sex with mummy. They didn't know whether I was kidding or not but they didn't hang around to find out. :D

If John Law spots you fornicating, however 'out of the way', it may well be enough that he is offended ... and as such may offer you
a) Down the station.
or
b) A three or more-some.
Or
Both, but in the opposite order if not fully satisfied...

:D :D

Hmmm.

Is this officer a slim dark-haired policewoman, or a burly bloke with a big truncheon?

And what about 'sex' on TV, is that allowed? (Meaning children are watching that, not? Call the social service?)
That must be becoming less common now, with all these flat-screen ones.

Reminds me of that old gag:
One old lady to another, "so, what do you make of all the sex on the telly these days?"
"Oh it's alright but the aerial keeps digging in my back!"

surely that's just community policing, you often hear that there aren't enough police on the streets, this bloke should be congratulated, a slight over use of his truncheon maybe.

I doubt if that includes where kids play, because then you will not have

"a reasonable expectation of privacy".

But if you are in the middle of a secluded field in the middle of nowhere, then maybe.

I played in fields when I was a kid.

Are you saying that it is ok to have sex in a field with kids watching and so long as they don't complain it's OK?
it`s OK if you are alone and you don`t ask them to join in

Not entirely sure about the "alone" bit, when it comes to having sex in public places, Nige....

As no one seems to have quoted it yet

12 Causing a child to watch a sexual act

(1) A person aged 18 or over (A) commits an offence if-

(a) for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, he intentionally causes another person (B) to watch a third person engaging in an activity, or to look at an image of any person engaging in an activity,
(b) the activity is sexual, and
(c) either-
(i) B is under 16 and A does not reasonably believe that B is 16 or over, or
(ii) B is under 13.
(2) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable-

(a) on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum or both;
(b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years.

Thats section twelve of the sexual offences act 2003

Bang goes our swinging weekend next week then!

So, lets assume that the liberals think its ultra trendy to let their kids watch them, where does it stop?...do they just let em watch the 'act' or the whole shebang (scuse the pun)

And at what point do the 'lessons' stop?...

"Ok kids...you've seen me and daddy have what is known as normal sex...now watch while daddy tries to serve me one up the trademans"

Its illegal, immoral and could have a very dangerous impact on the kids state of mind.
