I used them as an example and wasnt trying to dig out anyone on heres political leanings.

Following that I was just trying to build on the subject with a ficticious situation..

The OP asked at what age (of the child) should people start to worry if the child saw them having sex. How does creating a fictitious situation involving a presumed policy of a loosely defined group of people who you then attack because they ascribe to your presumed policy advance the discussion?

Yep, fair enough point for me..I used the term too losely..

That doesnt imply that the kids just wandered in on a sunday morning and caught the couple 'at it'...It, and the following paragraph to me, is questioning whether there is an age limit as to when your kids should not see you doing it...and I wasnt the only one to pick up on that route.

So, without the analogy or any confusion of words on here, to put it plainly (ok a first from me!)

I dont think kids should see their parent/s havin sex at any time.

I think that people (myself included) maybe went a bit defensive because this is exactly how many of the 'Loony Left, PC Gone Mad' stories start to go out when people misinterpret the intention of people who brainstorm, for want of a better word.

For example, once upon a time, someone may have said 'I wonder if Brainstorming is an appropriate word, or will it cause offence to the mentally handicapped ?' purely because they think about the consequences of what they do. They probably came to the conclusion that it was all OK after a minute's thought, but that doesn't mean that you won't get someone coming along saying 'Loony Left PC Do-Gooders now say that we can't use the word Brainstorm'

Similarly, I could wonder out loud as to whether giving people who felt drawn to innapropriate porn on the internet a great big stack of, say, existing child porn so that they didn't feel the need to go out and do it themselves. Again, I may come to the conclusion in the very next breath that its not a good idea, but the story is still out there 'PC Nutters advocate free porn for Paedos' or somesuch.

This has happened so many times before. You're not really going to get chucked out of a school for saying Blackboard or wishing someone a Merry Christmas, but there's an awful lot of people out there who believe you will.

So, as you point out, no-one is actually saying that putting on a show for the kids is a good way of teaching them about sweet loving.....

I did not mean to appear defensive or as if I was having a go, but I did want to clarify a point, because I'll bet my bottom dollar that in future on here when a debate about immigration or racism comes up, there will be those bandying about the term 'liberal' as if they'd just trod on something nasty. We shall see

In Zampa's example it adds to the perception that someone who is liberal is not playing with a full deck, and I just wanted to redress the balance as Hermes and BAS do more eloquently.

I won't shoot down any brainstorming exercise, if I'm aware that's what it is and it is taken to its natural conclusion, but otherwise I'll mass debate with the rest of 'em.
