I would have thought it more likely that the war zone strayed in to the Airlines flight plan. Civilian aircraft don't tend to fly random routes based on how the pilot is feeling on the day. Sometimes weather takes them on a different plan, but there is always a flight plan. Must be a legal requirement, same as for boats.

If you want to, your country applies, and has to agree to the rules collectively made by the members (of which your country will become one)

Due to them not being able to afford to maintain it and also a very distinct change of direction but not in the same way that China did it.
Having heard from an actual Russian they are aware that the west hates them and feel they need a strong leader so Putin has no problem getting elected. The fact that the west hates him - well the outcome from that is obvious.

According to a Russian oligarch who has bought citizenship here the billions of Russian money in London that can be touched are a myth. He probably has the bulk of his stashed in the usual places - tax havens like all good oligarchs where ever they came from.
