tailgating = careless driving
brake checking = dangerous driving
I'm not the dummy.

If the driver thinks he saw something and brakes hard (brake check in action), that is hardly his fault if he gets hit from behind. The insurance company would rather payout for a vehicle bump than a potential pedestrian being run over. Ask any insurance company^^^^^^^
Dumb post.
Tail-gating is reprehensible. Colliding into the back of another vehicle is the tail-gaiters' fault. Ask any insurance company.
I can hit the brakes for any reason, not just your imaginary brake check excuse.tailgating = careless driving
brake checking = dangerous driving
.
Correct. That could be a street you wish to turn into, or a child aimlessly skipping along the edge of the footpath. Brake check my arse.If the driver thinks he saw something and brakes hard (brake check in action), that is hardly his fault if he gets hit from behind.
Would be a good camera that can see out of the car in fronts windscreen.Unless they have dash cameras - then you are screwed. You might even get reported for insurance fraud as well as dangerous driving.
Its pretty obvious to spot a brake checker.
Standard.Talking rubbish again.
And that is the issue. Tailgaters are the problemWe can all think of valid examples where a person suddenly brakes for good reason.
So you should go faster, and faster to creste a gap and keep it? Rubbish. Poor driving and reasoning by any standards.
Rubbish, it changes nothing if they are too close to your bumper to react. It doesn't matter how big the gap is in front of you, if they are too close to react behind.
Is there a good reason why anyone would drive really close (at speed) to the car in front?We can all think of valid examples where a person suddenly brakes for good reason.
So you too think you can create a gap behind you, either by going faster or slower and you think I don't understand.Just admit that you do not understand, rather than keep arguing about your (mis)comprehension.
