Stammer meets Trump

Depending on the definition of "significant problem", I'd bet half of all countries could have the same thing said about them.
Half of manufacturers are moving manufacturing away from Germany. That was kind of their thing.

It’s certainly a factor, but it would be wrong to say it’s the cause.

Well starmer needs a decent relationship with our closest / best Allie so meeting up with trump is neccesary as he might be the next president

Mind you that Lammy who was with him has made some pretty un diplomatic remarks about trump in the past :giggle: publicly

Best he winds his neck in ? Until after the election

I prefer Deloitte's explanation to yours, thanks.
Two out of three German companies have at least partly relocated their operations abroad because of Germany’s ongoing energy chaos, says consultancy firm Deloitte.
Previous reports showed almost half of the country’s small-to-midsized companies were considering moving abroad or stopping trading entirely.
Most business cite high energy prices and inflation as their reasons for moving.

You two should write a book… Dumb and dumber’s guide to business and economics for idiots.

I don’t think I’ve said why. I’ve said the energy crisis was not the only cause.

You also forgot to add crucial words like ‘considering’ and ‘partial relocation’.

lol.

Just more MBK waffle and halftruths.

You’re both welcome to do your research. Maybe start with analysis that isn’t a year old.

What a surprise!
Your source says much the same as the report I presented from Deloitte, from November 2023
Germany’s manufacturing sector has been in recession since early 2022, battered by the loss of cheap Russian energy following the country’s invasion of Ukraine, a fall-off in demand in its key export market of China, and declining consumer confidence in its own country.
From your link.

However, going back to your original comment, the slow take-up of EV is causing some downturn, which only affect EV sales and production, but it's much less of a problem than the energy problems.
Additionally the competition from China is having an effect, but again the main problem is the energy costs.
