NO politician (certainly at the higher ranks) can be trusted. So what if he's reading one lot of scripture that he possibly doesn't personally believe in. Politicians read out stuff all the time that they won't personally believe in. And politicians of all colours from all parties have lied over the years, proved to be untrustworthy etc etc.

The world they operate in is a swamp, and the high majority of them are in said swamp, whether dipping a toe or right up to their necks.
