Y plan? No.

S Plan and no internal bypass on boiler? Yes.

BTW, there's no requirement for it to be automatic, but it's generally agreed that automatic is better than manual, even if they do eventually go wrong and have to be replaced.

Warning to op: coldberk is a troll
that has no experience in the heating industry. He gets his answers from reading posts on forums and using google, and more often than not he is not quite right, or just plain wrong.
 
Don't worry kev, got IGEM docs which troll won't ever have access to... Why? Lack of qualification
