Syrians

Regarding the future of Syria for its female population, I found this a very powerful image (still taken from a news piece.) I wonder exactly what the future will hold for this little girl in terms of freedoms.

Mrs Jones, great news, you can move back into your house today!

Eh? But the flood waters only subsided yesterday and the house is wrecked inside!

Ah yes, but the immediate danger is over. Get yourself moved back in today, you'll be fine.

Here we go again. The huge numbers fleeing war and oppression? In France?
You're right: here we go again, all the usual tropes trotted out.
There is no war in France. But asylum seekers are under no obligation on where to seek asylum. They simply have to turn up and ask.
How do you think Asaad reached Russia? by rubber dinghy?

Many of whom have conveniently 'misplaced' all their ID documents.
Urban mythology doing the rounds yet again.

Some will now be hurriedly reviewing their decision to claim to come from Syria. :ROFLMAO:
Remember the recriminations and false accusations in France after the end of WW2, and after the Balkan wars?
Do you not think that similar recriminations and false accusations will now be occurring in Syria?

Exactly. Genuine refugees consist of children, elderly, women, - even pets. Eg. Ukranian refugees. Fake refugee chancers consist of almost exclusively young men, cherry-picking their preferred country.
You've suddenly become an expert on what refugees look like.
You should be working at the Home Office, you could just walk down the line and point out the genuine refugees. :ROFLMAO:
I don't know why the UK employs thousands of investigators to check on the refugees status, I bet you'd do it as an unpaid volunteer.

  • Between 2015 and 2020, approximately 16,350 refugees were resettled in England and Wales under the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) and the Vulnerable Children's Resettlement Scheme (VCRS).
  • Those resettled are primarily of Syrian nationality (91%), with slightly higher proportions of males (52%) than females (48%), and around half (50%) aged under 18 years on arrival; two years after arrival, most are still living in the local authority where they were first resettled (over 80%).

It’s 4 years out of date……

Cheers.
