Teachers getting the vaccine....more important workers than them should get it first.

Wrong!
One thing virologists have agreed on is that you can't catch Lord Covid twice.
You can carry it like everyone else by touching contaminated surfaces, but not catching it twice.
With these mutations one might think that they catch another form of the virus but it doesn't work like that.
Unless you happen to listen to the pharmaceutical industry and "doctors" in their pockets, then you will need a vaccine every 3 months...

Rubbish.

Natural immunity only lasts a short time...a few months.

transam will try and introduce his hatred into every thread.
He leaves little piles of nonsense everywhere and anywhere. It's the virtual equivalent of scatophilia.

Scatophiliac = Like the exhibitionist, the scatophiliac wants his victim, to be shocked, disgusted, or horrified by his demeanor or words.

The greater the shock, horror or disgust of the victim, the greater the excitement for the scatophiliac.

You're comparing an illness with a death rate all ages as much as 90% to another with a death rate of less than 5% of which 99% are on their last leg and would die even with a "simple" flu.
This is the problem, you can compare 1% to 90% but miss the fact that the 1% is much larger when catches that disease and only a few thousand of the other.

When shouting wrong, it is best not to be wrong yourself.

You can catch Covid-19 more than once, it's thought that having recovered from Covid-19 you've got the same level of protection as a single jab of a vaccine. Which means some, but not complete.

.... I thinks the strategy of trying to vaccinate a whole population of one country, ahead and in denial of other countries is an erroneous strategy.
....
....
It set me thinking though; there are something like 3.5 billion people in 130 low to middle income countries around the World. We've jabbed about 15 million people in 3 months, when we could easily have shared that out. On a Country by Country basis maybe, about a million or so jabs to each Country. Of course we'd have to make sure they get to the 'poor' people first. There some very naughty people in some of these 'poor' Countries, who might just sell them to the highest bidders. We'd better put a note on the box; "vaccines for very poor people only". That should do it. Oh, and don't forget to phone ahead to make sure the freezer is on, and to make sure the Countries set up a network of trained vaccinators. There we are, pandemic over.
It's sad when you resort to absurdity to disagree with a strategy.
Sometimes an absurd idea needs absurdity to show just how absurd it is.
I'm glad we agree.

When I first posited the idea of vaccines being shared throughout the world, you opposed it only with absurdity.
When I pointed out that the sum of your discord was by proffering absurdity, you suggested that my idea was absurd, and you claimed to be justified in disputing it with absurdity.
When I demonstrated that my idea was that promoted by WHO, and I was simply offering a rationale behind their strategy, you suddenly did an about-face and suddenly agreed with the strategy.

I suggest you examine your motives for opposing an idea before actually disagreeing with it.

From what I see having to travel past one or another school it isn't the teachers that need vacinating but the 'school mum's' who don't seem to be able to keep their distance from each other in their gaggles when delivering/collecting the kids from school.

You're right, but I didn't mean the same member of staff - poorly worded.

Schools, as a collective, can still catch it, and that means, staff have to isolate. Same problem.

Teenagers must be a nightmare considering that you can't punish them.
Primary school not so much.
I often look after the neighbours kids (a dozen and more) and take them everywhere.
All under 12 and easy to control with a big voice.

I do hope you have a current 'Enhanced DBS Check' to allow you to look after so many young children?
For your own protection I would advise getting one if you haven't already done so and also register as a child-minder with the local authority.

The idea is to teach them. Maintaining control is the easy bit.

At the risk of teaching granny to suck eggs, teaching will only succeed if it is preceeded by control. As an example, my Geography teacher was a strict disciplinarian who had natural authority but rarely had to use it. He taught, you listened - everyone was happy. His classes, including myself, got good O level Geography passes. However our French teacher's lessons were chaotic, he was a great bloke but couldn't control anything. I didn't pass French.
