Always a bit suspicious when the police change their story, evidence goes missing, witnesses withdraw statements. I don't lose any sleep over it but I do give a shoite, the consequences for public disorder are enormous if people conclude it was a deliberate execution. An aggressive armed high speed stop is going to increase the risk of an incident. Very easy to mistake someone waving their arm in a car with tinted windows for an armed attacker.

It was a clever investigation but it wasn't good or thorough.

The footage shows it opened more or less when the vehicle was surrounded, which one assumes was deduced from the witness statements.
