The Petition to cancel the Labour Government - result

My advice to the Government is: you can ignore this petition—of course, you will ignore this petition, in the sense that there will not be a general election—but do not ignore the sense of alienation and frustration that lies behind it.'

Did he say the same about the Brexit referendum?

I saw it as a gauge to see the level of discontent within the public and how that discontent was distributed throughout the country.

The petition would never have overthrown the current administration. Enough people rising up could though.

It’s true the 57,432 Mickey Mouse’s that signed the petition are very discontented….even the ones that don’t live in Moscow

A political petition like this is totally pointless.

Whoever is in power the people who vote for the opposition will always vote for a petition to cancel the party they don’t like.

The Conservatives got 6.8million votes in 2024…..every single one would want the Labour govt cancelled.

Is democracy to be replaced by Musck and petitions?

No.

It's not long ago we had a very much bigger opinion survey.
