So, to be clear, attacking armed police and breaking a police woman’s nose is nowhere near as bad as chucking sticks and stones at the police according to all you liberals on here. Glad we cleared that up.

An aspect that some appear to have missed. What's the situation now? Well it's no longer a major news item. If some ome want to know the best way would probably to search local news papers in the area concerned.

The Manchester airport attackers are facing up to 5 years in jail since the Assault resulted in ABH. With the broken nose, it could be GBH. They have an effective legal team who are doing all they can to discredit the officers, including making allegations without evidence. Its a good tactic, as it means the CPS will have to do a thorough job.

As far as I can tell the rioters have all pleaded guilty. (I may be wrong?), so there is no requirement to present the evidence.

Have you not partly answered your own question by typing this?

Whereas it's not quite as easy to discredit the police or come up with a reasonable defence if you've been caught on camera blatantly rioting when, essentially, you didn't need to and didn't need to be in the area.

Mottie would prefer a rushed investigation and trial , risking a mis trial and freedom for the perpetrators
