Its equally irrational to end your own life for physical or mental reasons
Not if you have a terminal illness

What if “the family” don't want to kill their loved one?
You mean; if a person suffering with a terminal illness wishes to end their life but a member of their family does not?

In that case, i'd say the family member is acting from a selfish perspective. Considering the afflicted person's needs is paramount.

Do you google it, and rely on which company has paid for the first return? This is reducing someones life to a series of procedures with potential to make money. It interferes with the excellent but underfunded palliative care pathways that have been developed, and assumes people reach a point where a box is ticked.
All our lives are a series of procedures designed with a potential to make money - how much did your last trip to the dentist cost?

Who’ll be looking at the papers and saying yeah that seems alright after sitting on it for weeks or months.
Sounds like you have had dealings with the family court.

They are so maxed out dealing with protection orders that turnarounds tend to be 3-4 months.

When I was doing first aid course, the hems doctor teaching it pointed out that the human brain can survive a few seconds after decapitation. Somewhere between 10 and 20 I recall.

But in the case of the suicide pod, it looks like No2 knocked them out, but didn't kill them.

In the context of a terminal illness - yes.
or you can Break Bad.

Yes. Really.
It's not a promising sign that the Health Secretary is set to vote against the bill

Not really. I feel sorry for the husband (or wife) who has a crafty shag thinking the other half wont get to know about (or just not thinking) and paying the emotional and financial price when the sh1t hits the fan. Not to mention the kids.

Here's a fun fact, Joseph-Ignace Guillotin, the Dr who the Guillotine was named after was not the inventor, actually he opposed the death penalty. Whilst he was unable to prevent the death penalty he was able to achieve a more humane method of execution.
