U.K. to accept EU illegal immigrant quota.

Isn't immigration to the UK at an all time high?

And the small boats issue is a minor sideshow as far as the numbers are concerned...

But I recall that brexiteers claimed that all these 'problems' would be solved when the UK left the EU...

What has happened to those claims?

Perhaps you read it in one of your "press releases" that you made up.

Were you hoping that people would just believe you?

Sir Kier is proposing to accept a quota in as part of a deal - tell me I am wrong? I've already given you 3 links, so clearly I didn't make anything up.

Here's more from labour:

Interesting that our racist home secretary said that "Labour would let the UK become a “dumping ground” for Europe’s migrants"

Her parents actually arrived in the UK via Europe as economic migrants...

And they arrived in the UK in the 1960s, during a period of strong anti-immigrant sentiment, “with absolutely nothing,” as Braverman has said, “and it was Britain that gave them hope, security, and opportunity.”

Rather odd though in order to fit in with UK society that they named her after an American 'neurotic, gun-wielding alcoholic'...

No wonder she became a nasty party member, determined to deprive others of the opportunities she enjoyed!

She is anti EU, but strangely enjoyed the advantage of the Erasmus program to study in Paris!

Its all about the numbers Ellal.

Nothing wrong with controlled immigration as long as people can bring value and their is space.

And the EU workers did indeed bring 'value' as they did the jobs our indigenous lot often won't/can't do...

And in return those in the UK who would like to go and enjoy casually working in the EU are essentially now prevented from doing so...

So why are the immigration numbers rising now after brexit?
Are Asian workers better than EU ones in the eyes of brexiteers?
Are those higher numbers of people not taking up even more space?

Is the £100bn per year brexit hit to the UK GDP worth it?

Don't be daft.

It is not economically-feasible to "stop the boats".

FFS; my mate swam across a few weekends ago.

While I'm not making light of the difficulty of crossing the Channel, it's hardly a thousand miles of shark-infested waters now, is it?
Hitler couldn't do it.

That's not like you.

But the fuss is a simple ploy to try to undermine the Opposition leader as the remnants of the Cons crawl towards the forthcoming election.

The FT says:

"As always the language carries the sinister undertones of plotting, surrender and consorting with the “enemy” in Brussels. No doubt there will be more to come when Starmer visits the French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris next week.

None of this is a surprise to anyone who has been involved in UK politics these past 40 years, but it shows how resilient and deep-seated the anti-EU narrative remains, despite the polls showing lots of people aren’t best pleased with what Brexit has delivered.

Migration is a hot issue, of course, but this antipathy can also be expected to extend to other steps taken by Labour to align the UK with European rules and regulations as it tries to reduce the trade frictions caused by leaving the EU single market."
Starmer is a closet rejoiner.
