so 3 modern craft just by coincidence appear in the same two feet of glyphs a civilisation that could make enormous carved statues millions of carved glyphs could just not take off the existing glyphs to a smooth surface and carve the new glyphs

i know what its called and usually used on paper / parchment etc but you seem to think that they wouldnt just create a blank canvas on stone to get the new story over without any confusion as they normally did when trying to eradicate previous stories of certain pharaohs
