The US will provide Ukraine with up to $250m in arms and equipment, including air defense munitions and artillery ammunition, the US has announced. The aid, provided through the Presidential Drawdown Authority, will be pulled from Pentagon stockpiles, and is likely to be the last to be supplied without congressional approval, where talks over further aid to Ukraine have stalled. The package of arms includes Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, additional Himars ammunition, javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems as well as artillery and small arms ammunition. It is the Biden administration’s 54th disbursement of military equipment to Ukraine since August 2021.

They'll have to choose their targets more carefully for the forseeable future - House Republicans are likely to put their foot down and demand funding for border control as the election year gets going in earnest. Israel will siphon funds away from Ukraine and Russia is watching with a keen eye to see how far it can push back this spring.

Rather than fighting Russia themselves NATO countries are using Ukraine as a battering ram to bring down the Russian state.
NATO could go head to head with Russia, but it could turn nuclear and that would damage Europe a lot more than Russia.
The EU is a densely populated and highly centralised state in relatively small geographic area.
A mass nuclear attack on European cities would be devastating.
Russia is huge country with a large rural population widely dispersed.
Why do you think the Americans dropped their atomic bombs on civilians in cities rather than targeting the huge Japanese military? .

Putin chose to have a war, thinking it would be a walkover, like when he invaded Crimea. His actions have resulted in damage to Russia, as well as to his victim. It is more damage than he expected.
