VAT on education?

Some have, some haven't.
A term has started. Fees do not include VAT so none will have paid it as the law is not in force. Come next term it is likely to be. Charges per term are rather common. Maybe some will offer pay for the year but that is a much larger outlay. Avoiding that could be built into the law.

I'm sure you can google it

Setting aside that the normal lefty trolls are basically jealous and bitter towards anyone who they believe to be rich (at least Noseall was honest).

Quite a large group of people sending their kids to private school are doing so, because the state school cannot cope with their educational needs.

No, I want you to explain why a small country with a small number of schools is totally unlike a medium sized country with a larger number of schools.

How have they not paid their way?
Its not like its currently a tax deductible exexpense.
By not paying vat on the luxury goods.

What's so wrong with paying vat for such extras? Or don't pay it and have the state education.

Why are you so keen for the taxes to come from others that can't afford such luxuries

You mean desires, not needs.
If it is genuine need, the local authority should provide the requirement.

Motorbiking is telling us that we live in a country where educational needs are not met.

Except for the rich..

That's not good enough.

No you make a comparison which is nonsense.

Perhaps you'd like to compare France.. a similar country.. The state makes a contribution to private schools, in France. Not helpful for those who want to claim only the rich put their kids in private school and argue that they are not fairly taxed on the "privilege".

The French private schools mainly cater for international students, and language skills are part of the criteria for entry.
Other academic ability is as important as the ability to pay.
Entry exams are normal procedure for students.
The government support for private schools make them more affordable than the equivalent schools in UK.

People who look to send their children to private school in France are often surprised by how affordable the annual costs are, especially when compared to the UK or US.
Costs are kept low because most private schools in fact have a contract with the state and in turn receive a large portion of their funding from the government.
