What have you been doing today?

How long would each car take on average
Obviously it depends largely on the vehicle.....the large Freelander (13 plate) hadn't had much tlc and was heavily tarred. This took about 4 hours in all.
Anyway, I try to make only £15 an hour (pocket money remember) and some of the time is spent waiting for the car to dry, polish to haze or whatever.
So....the process.
Spray the alloys with Autoglym Motorcycle Cleaner, go over the body and wheels with my pressure washer with a wash/wax injection. Once dry its white spirit on shop towel to get the tar off.
Wash again with Autoglym Body Conditioner (that's the green solution) and once dry, a once over with the Meguiars Ultimate if the punter wants it. I do the glass with a microfibre cloth just to get rid of the tear drop effect in the sunshine.
So, I guess its around the 2 hour mark, resulting in 'beer and tabs' cash money but it gets me outside with something to do!

It scares me that 84 year olds are still driving!
For sure it can be a bit scary....the oldest driver in the village is 96
You can imagine the salesman in the dealership though......the dog chooses the car and also chooses the colour. Discounts aren't necessary. Sale in the bag (y)

Woke up slightly later than the day before which seems to becoming a pattern for us along with not knowing what day it is. By the time this is all over I think half of us will be in hibernation! Gave my wife her Easter egg (she didn’t have one for me as she's not been to the shops for a while) so we went halvsey halvsey on hers. Took the dog for a walk over the fields - full of people walking without dogs - rarely seen them before. Put a couple of bowls of water outside my house for any thirsty dogs that may be being walked by their owner. Went up the corner shop to get some eggs, milk and bananas for my mum, ran those round to her together with a frozen roast beef dinner that I made last week. Contactless handover on her doorstep. Never seen so many people out walking as of late. All observing social distancing which is good to see. On the way home I popped over my allotment just to do some watering. Packed solid with people. Indoors now so I’m going to make another roast and that’s me done for the day. Will watch the final episode of 'Tiger King' on Netflix later - highly recommended. One benefit of this lockdown is that there’s no pressure to get things done ASAP. Why worry, what’s the hurry?

Once again, in the shoite today......another neighbour on mains drains this time.
Found an inspection chamber in her cobbled drive - one of those lidded types that are about 3” deep with the cobbles in. Unfortunately the handles were missing so had to lever it up.....brim full and I must have been close to a hernia
Out with the rods, and it took 28 before I reached the next chamber. Fortunately that one was empty and eventually it glugged away after using the screw attachment on the rods :) Result!
Next, a battery replacement on an oil Watchman device (4x AAA) took a while to get into that one but eventually the end cap came off.
Next, replacement of a primer bulb on a Briggs lawn mower after a mouse had chewed it through.
Quite a successful day! :)

I garden - vacced up a few magnolia petals, then did some keepy-ups with second born. I am embarrassed by my comparative indolence:(

Don’t laugh, my neighbour does that as well as watering and wiping the plastic leaves on her fake plants.

I've just done a call out and came home to service my drainage/sump pumps, only to find that I pulled it out of the pond to early and got covered in fish water. My son could not stop laughing.
