What have you been doing today?

..made up one anti-butterfly frame for when I plant out some of my cauliflowers and cabbages..... I used some roofing battens, 8 metres of 20mm blue water pipe that I pulled out of a skip and some skip netting. Well pleased with it. I would have posted a photo but my phone went flat.

And here’s my first allotment site construction project. Well, I’m pleased with it.

Today we went for a long walk with the dog and walked to a fishmongers and bought one of their 'ultimate fish pies'. A bit expensive at £12 I thought but they are highly recommended locally and it’s in the oven as we speak while I enjoy a large G&T with ice and a slice. Went over the allotment this afternoon for a bit of a tidy up, weed and watering session and.......one of the potatoes has hatched! You always remember your first born and we are going to call him Cato. Cato the potato. Here he is.

I usually attend a cycle touring festival in Clitheroe.Cancelled so it has hastily been changed to an online version via Zoom.Set up zoom and it has all gone to plan,watching talks etc,on alsorts bike adventure related.Cycling UK has set up a new route from the peak district right up to Cape Rath/John O Groats..Get yourselves on it and I will see you there...Soon I Hope.

Evicted a load of snails from our garden tonight down to the brook. In two minds if I've done the right thing..... If this goes on they could be a source of food

Walked past our old allotment. There is only a few plots left. Most has overgrown. See how this year goes and maybe take the plot back next year...

I did start chucking eggs at them but they kept dodging them.

Cape Wrath, end of the world up there. That area is stunning ; looks like the Caribbean in photos, except for the temperature!

What are you doing or saying to get them deleted?

I replied on the Burials Funeral thread about Muslim women not given the same rights as men but some idiot with admin rights deleted it as Abuse, not actually being aware that is fact that they are not generally welcome at the ceremonies. Instead of having the decency to apologise they got it wrong they keep deleting my posts just have the spine to admit you got it wrong.

Today I drilled a 20mm (ish) hole in a neighbours 22" thick wall so he can fit an outside tap, gave him some bits so he can finish the job too.

Why?
Because he uses my outside tap to fill his kids pool etc.
Now he has his own lol

I tried that years ago. Made no difference.
