Walking into a pub and not seeing everyone stop what they're doing to stare at you.

Stop going drinking in your Speedos!

Boring tidbit:

The dip in the central section of a bicycle wheel rim enables you to remove and replace a tyre without tyre levers.

(I found this out after spending hours - with tyre levers, and without success - trying to fit a slick tyre to my mtb, so I could use it on my turbo trainer).

I've just finished fitting a new set of discs and pads to the front of my car. I had a wee bit of a judder on braking so I thought, sod it.
On one of the old discs, you can see an imprint of a pad from when I came back from being a few months in Tenerife and the pad had stuck to the disc. Even after for months and a couple of thousand miles, you can still see the mark.

You can usually cure that, by the following process...

Find a fast, empty stretch of road, get the car up to 70, then brake hard, to get the disks hot - repeat several times, but do not allow the car to come to a complete stop at anytime. Idea is, to get the disks good and hot, then finally allow them to cool, with the pads not in one spot on the disks. It releases stresses in the disk, which cause distortions and judder. Always worked for me..

I was going to watch the boxing tonight but **** it, I’m off to bed, it’s a set up and it’s going to be shît and over by round 3 or 4.

Just because. Take it from someone who's been in the trade for over 45 years. It just won’t Harry.

Some manufacturers had a nightmare in the transition to asbestos free on pads and clutches, BMW were particularly bad, took a couple of years and a lot of expensive warranty replacement parts and labour.

I would suggest that my own experience confirms you are wrong. It's a simple no cost option - always worth a try, and has always worked for me..

Pre asbestos free or post asbestos free, vented or unvented discs, technology's changed a lot in a short space of time.

Washed the Honda today.

We took it to Rewind and got stuck in he mud! The mud and snow rated tyres didn't help! Consequently, it got splattered with what looked like half a field's worth of mud.

Also did some hedge chopping.

Wrong! It took him till round 7 what he should have done by round 3. Should have watched it - I was having trouble getting to sleep!
