Leave it a couple of days then tell him you've got a letter from the Army addressed to him.

Gave him sound advice

Getting shot at is nowt to worry about ?

It’s getting shot that is

Dunno he goes on some internet group . That’s when he is not on some porn site (?) and believes all this conscription nonsense

Knowing his luck ? He would probably get captured by some fat hairy arrissed Russian who is probably gay with a massive Willy ? :ROFLMAO:

Get him some work experience in Croydon. Give it a couple of days and he'll be gagging to sign up for duty.

Sold my tyre changing machine, wheel balancer and bead seating tool today for the last time. I say last time because I’ve sold them to myself a few times over the years. ;)

My Sonoff inline USB Smart Switch arrived yesterday, so yesterday evenings task, was to try to decrypt how to set it up, to work with Alexa. The instruction leaflets provided with these things, are never good, the lack detail, and mixed up with a dozen other languages - so I really struggle. I tried various methods described on the Internet, none worked the way expected, so I just kept on searching, and trying other methods. Generally, the idea was one of loading an app on my phone, then using the app to get it configured onto my wifi. Each gadget seems to need a different app to be loaded, and I'm never happy struggling to use a small phone screen to tackle anything like this.

Eventually, one of the suggested methods I tried, actually worked, and the gadget showed a solid blue LED, meaning connected to my wifi and Alexa could 'see' it at last. Why do they have to make this process so very difficult, and needing a Smart Phone? Why can't they offer the option to set them up by laptop, not everyone has such a phone?

Took the dogs on a local walk. Trying to get them to smile for the camera is a job in itself - they just don’t want to know! ;)

On the way home, I saw a flaw in a security post that someone had installed to protect their Jaaaaaaaag. There was about 2-3' behind the car so you only had to go back a bit and then you could have gone left or right to get past the pole!

and, best of all, a Jamie Oliver frying pan. One of those all metal jobs that can go from the hob then straight into the oven. No more part frying then swapping to a roasting tray. Hob - oven - plate - done. Oh yeaahh! :giggle:
Used it for the first time tonight to cook a frittata. Started it off in the hob, then popped it in the oven. Looked nice when I took it out using oven gloves. I meant to leave the oven glove over the handle to remind me it was hot, then I thought to myself 'don't be a cock' and promptly picked the thing up to serve up. Fùùck! Luckily I let go pretty quickly. No blisters yet but my palm and my fingers are stinging and that’s despite running my hand under the cold tap for 10 minutes.

Just a pair, one each, of Pukka pies for dinner, with mash, green beans, broccoli, and gravy for dinner this evening. Followed much later (just finished it in fact), grilled tinned peaches, in honey with a knob of butter. Served hot, topped with icecream - delicious!

Anne, my original partner came up with the idea, long ago. A few weeks ago, I tested the idea on Avril, who loved it. If we use anything regularly, we stock up on it, if it has a decent life. Obviously she liked the idea, because she had stocked up with 10 tins of peaches, and jars of honey :)

I just crack the tin open, let the juice drain away, whilst sorting a dish, pouring honey in and adding a knob of butter. The dish then goes under the grill, with the peaches regularly basted, with the honey and butter, until they begin to brown and toast/crisp a little on the outside.

Up at the workshop today for the collection of my tyre machine and wheel balancer. The buyer also bought my 3/4” impact tool and socket set, a motorcycle wheel balancer and a 6/12/24v booster starter. Someone else picked up my 15 tonne hydraulic press too. The place is starting to look empty now. Just waiting for someone else to pick up my engine hoist.

You just fancied a change?
