What have you been doing today?

Just tried Peanut butter n marmite spread, as expected it's absolutely disgusting.

Dug out for new flagstone shed base - been at it since about 8:30am and finished the groundwork about 16:00. On the plus side a Robin kept appearing near me.

Help a neighbour day fix their sit on mower. Yeah should be something easy I say. Hour later i have the rear axle in pieces on my workbench ordering new gears. Heyho that's what friends are for, feel very fortunate to have some very friendly helpful neighbours who all would do the same in a heartbeat.

Dusted off the bike today and went out for a ride. I was heading to my allotment but I diverted off into the country park. Years ago in the war it used to be Hornchurch aerodrome. They usually have something on for VE Day but sadly not this year for obvious reasons. Anyway, a few pics.
A concrete plane for the kiddies to play on but not today.

I cycled up to the highest point and you can just see Canary Wharf in the distance.

Game over, rang the wife to pick me up, she wasn’t best pleased especially when she turned up and see the amount of people walking about - she's paranoid about us keeping our distance.

Funny thing is, only the other day I was reading up on electric bike conversion kits and one of the selling points of a rear hub powered kit is that you can get home even with a broken chain. I remember thinking, how often is that going to happen?

Two emergency jobs.

Me and the girls sat in my mum and dad's garden listening to Winnie.... Nice to see them. Told us all the stories of when they were evacuated.

Played football with the girls over the field. Being very careful as its just over 11 months since I snapped my
patella tendon.

Survived now having a bud in the garden.
