What have you bought today?

A new tailboard and number plate for my trailer, (old tailboard is corroded and lights not working properly). Two new tyres for the wheels.
All being fitted back together at the weekend if the weather is favourable.
My wife paid for a towbar to be fitted to my car on Monday. £580 for a removable swan neck type because this car has parking sensors, (beep-beeps, as we call them), so a fixed ball type isn't suitable.
Now I'll be able to do regular tip runs instead of cutting stuff up and hiding it in the bins.

Some chicken kievs, breaded chicken for a quick fix and some coffee.

I bought a 62 plate Fiesta Zetec for my daughter (she's going to pay me back) I think it's got 40,something miles on it. It's going to have a years warranty, two years breakdown cover and a new M.O.T.
She's trading in her 10 plate i20 for it as there is another baby on the way, and the Fiesta is a wee bit bigger.

After months of searching i finally found wallpaper from the seventies to paper the bathroom and end the odyssey. I never paid so much for wallpaper in my life and as i aspire to average doing the job i'm nervous as hell in making the first cut. It took less than a week to travel from Germany and put to shame the delivery from Derby recently who couldn't find the front door without phone guidance along the final mile. Got a hedge to trim today though, so that job can wait til next week.

The sharp knives have for a long time, been kept in a dish, filled with dried peas/beans or what ever - so their edges don't get damaged in a drawer. I've been on the look out for a suitable magnetic strip, which could be wall mounted, to replace the dish, as a place to store them. In Lidl today, on the centre isle, they had the perfect thing - but marked 'Parkside' and intended for tool storage. Remove facing strip printed 'Parkside', replace it with a strip of red electrical tape, now fixed to the wall. Red, perfectly matching other kitchen items.

Ryobi 2nd fix nail gun, Didn't want anything other than Makita because all my battery tools are Makita, but the feedbacks on the Mak ones were, without exception, so bad that I couldn't bring myself to buy one despite being a Makita fan.
The Ryobi, with a charger and 1 4ah battery was knocking on half the price of a bare Mak, and with excellent reviews.
Tried it in the garage today, well impressed.

New strap for my Garmin watch.
I've had at least two (free) replacement straps from Garmin over the years, always got onto their 'chat' and they seem to have sent me a new one although I think one time it was possbly still under warranty, I wasn't so lucky when the watch packed up in the shower, that was after wearing it for plenty of swimming and lot's of very wet runs including sea water though was able to buy a new 'refurbished' watch at less than half price, I did keep back the watch strap so that was another strap lifeline. I seem to have two new ones in the drawer. I don't wear it in the shower now.

Mine is a Fenix 5, bought for less than half price via Amazon Renewed.
IIRC, I paid £250.

Probably the kiss of death now, but it's been great (occasional GPS tracking issues when swimming in some openwater locations, but that might be more the signals being blocked by cliffs and trees, than anything to do with the watch itself).

Came with a black strap, but I buy the brightly-coloured replacements (in case it drops off while swimming, it'll be easier to find).

Only time I take it off is for recharging, which is probably weekly or fortnightly. I charge it in the car, so I can leave it on to track my sleep too.
