I bought a dressing gown and a pair of pyjamas in the White company Black Friday sale for mrs Mottie’s Christmas present - saved myself £33.

A new iPad for mrs mottie. £299 in Argos plus 5x nectar points. (Same iPad in the Apple Store, £369). I thought I did well and told my mate this afternoon. He decided to get one for his wife too. I must be losing my touch - he phoned me up earlier and got the same deal through TopCashback and they are giving 8.5% cashback on Argos stuff. I put him on to TCB but I didn’t even think about them.

To make things worse, he's just sent me an email from TCB showing 20% cashback on TV's at Currys! I’ve definately gone off the boil.

The telly I bought last Sunday from Richer sounds cost me £899. It’s £949 in Curry’s. Today, Richer Sounds dropped their price to £849 and, as per their price promise, credited me £50 back so I’m not too far from the TCB deal.

Stocked up on supplies to finish a decorating job: rough sandpaper; dampstop lining; one-coat cream paint; wire wool mice; wood quadrant; wood filler; polyfiller; stocking filler and a 12x8" steel air vent cover. Never a dull moment round here...as you were.

Went away to Wales to pick up PiLs and our hotel room had not a single socket near the bed head. Need to buy a roll up lead and a 4 way block so I can charge a phone and use my sleep ap machine.
