wheel barely spins, Droning noise, hot caliper , what is the problem here ?

You shouldn’t be driving the car with a bad bearing. If it seizes, it’ll do all sorts of damage and might well cause a crash.

does that apply to only wheel bearings or the bearing on the driveshaft as well ? I am not sure how confident I am of the driveshaft diagnosis from the lad at kwik fit as he didn't mention other obvious things such as oil leak from throttle body which is why the bottom of the engine is covered in oil.
I want a second opinion before i change it out.

The throttle body will only fill up with oil as the car is used......maybe you just havent done enough miles yet?
John :)
hi
As I said I would wipe the oil off and later the same day more fresh oil would be leaking from underneath but for the last week or so there has been no more oil leaking out underneath the throttle body it is dry and I have driven several hundered of miles since. I am a bit confused about it

I guess the oil is starting to collect in the pipes, before the throttle body....rest assured, it will be back!

What does it mean by oil collecting in the pipes though, what does that indicate and can I take off the pipes to check and if so which ones ??

I see no pipes before the throttle body, just the intake or inlet manifold.

time will reveal if it comes back or not

Yes it does. Imagine what will happen if the bearing fails catastrophically.

Dong drive the car until you’ve fixed it.

What do you recommend I do next, go about having it replaced ro get a second opinion ?

I think you’re past the need for a second opinion......its either the wheel bearing or the driveshaft support bearing that needs to be replaced - maybe both, we don’t know but it should be obvious once its all stripped out.
As for the oil issue, disconnect the large air pipe from the throttle body - that takes air to the engine from the turbo, via the intercooler.
John :)

Hi
I was wondering could it be tyre noise but then I thought no I do not think it would be. The noise began a few months ago and after changing the wheels from a 17 in to 16 in the noise got a bit louder but the noise was existing already before chanigng the wheels. It sounds louder when I turn left and the droning noise sounds to be coming from the drivers side from area.

I already took the big rubber air hose off of the throttle body, it looks fine inside.

thanks

A typical indication of a faulty drivers side wheel bearing.
Hello Motto !
Good to see ya

Recently when I have been rocking the wheel I have not been feeling any movement whereas previously it was intermittent, sometimes I would feel it but toher times wouldn't ?

Spin it by hand and hold your fingers on the backplate or hub carrier. You can usually feel the roughness rather than see or hear.

I am not a mechanic so even when it is all stripped down it may not be obvious to me if any parts are faulty. I checked the throttle body again today and it has fresh oil underneath it once again.
the large air pipe seems fine doesnt seem too be oil in it
