Why is there no plan?

Already asked and already answered.
No you haven't answered the relevant question at all...

You may think/believe that you have answered the question, but senility it appears is a bugger for you mottie old boy!

So just to remind your rapidly fading memory...

If the visa system were to be changed and come more in line with the one in place in the EU and allow in Ukranian refugees without family in the UK, would you be willing to offer accommodation?

Yes or no!

Again, not until I know the practicalities of how it would work. Do they get a set of keys so that they can come and go as they please, will they be in all day while we are out, will they have visitors or friends that might want to stay over, do they have any disabilities or health problems, what hours do they keep, are they hygienic, do they need emotional support, can they speak English, how many in a family, would they be comfortable in a house on their own with a dog in the house, are they allergic to dogs (some of our family are and cannot visit unless we send the dog to a friend or relative for the day) etc etc. As I said, it all depends.

What do you plan to do - just chuck them a set of keys and leave 'em to it?

o_O:confused:
How can the visa-overstayers, who presumably arrived by air, be any fraction of the refugees arriving by boat. o_O
Do you mean the numbers of one group in comparison to the numbers in the other group?

It's irrelevant anyway, because the refugees arriving by boat are refugees, and the visa-overstayers are illegal immigrants. Two different sorts of 'arrivals'.

Still all need a home and bed to sleep. May want to drive a car and will use our health service. Could have mental health issues. Some will stretch our police force, crowd our transport, shag our women and drink our bear.

Always putting up pathetic objections and never answering a direct question

Are they 'hygienic'? - you have got to be joking!

I happen to believe in human decency, and am not like you - because you are prejudiced beyond belief...

You and Priti Patel should get a room!

Other countries have a rather better approach...

"Britain should refrain from criticising Ireland’s open-door policy towards Ukrainian refugees, an influential Conservative MP has said, after anonymous briefings claimed it was creating a security risk for the UK.
Simon Hoare, the chair of the Northern Ireland affairs committee and frequent commentator on Anglo-Irish relations, tweeted: “Instead of criticism of our Irish friends and neighbours, [the UK] could be much better replicating its response.”

"In Ireland, government officials have set up a refugee assistance operation at Dublin airport offering Ukrainians social security numbers, medical cards, housing and other supports.
It has also opened a website where householders can register to take refugees in."

But then Ireland is progressive whilst the UK since 2016 continues on it's regressive path...

In order to placate people like you!

Dunno what it was but it was probably just a bitchy comment.

Maybe all the refugees could be housed on Romain Abramovich's Super Yacht. its been on the run, since the UK said it could be seized. Currently off the coast of the Africa/Canaries, heading to Madeira

They are talking about this on BBC breakfast right now. An expert on this says there are a whole raft of considerations to be put in place before taking on such a commitment that could be for 12 months or more - just as I was saying. It's not like putting someone up temporarily for a couple of nights. They are also saying it can't just be a spur of the moment token gesture.
