Worried about my plumbers competence

FFS listen to you all !!!!! how would you like it if every installation that you carried out was open to investigation on here ? OK I dont think the bloke has covered himself with glory, but I guarentee that if you put all your installations on here that someone would be able to pick fault with something

If we did something like that we'd get laughed out of town or lynched.

I think there's serious safety issues and at best it should be double checked by a competent installer, including the wiring.

Ian - take your point mate - but not being able to plumb in a multibloc properly MUST set alarm bells.

Dan I agree completely but 10 pages of so called experts slagging the guy off, god help the poor bloke who the OP decides to employ to sort it out after all this advice

I agree mate but can you imagine the poor bloke (or gal) that turns up to complete the job ??? getting questioned on everything under the sun because of this site ? you would just laugh and walk away, well I would anyway

To be fair, the plumber has caused the aggro. Man king a mistake is one thing, but refusing to provide credentials is either stupid, criminal or an admission of guilt (of working out of scope).

I said earlier that I don't like randomly criticising other guys on thise site, as we only ever hear one side of the story. I did suggest posting a pic, and that is when the goy's credibility disappeared. I haven't commented after that, as I am not UV licenced.

But the OP does appear to have genuine grievances

I dont want to be a building project manager / planner for a year.

Your not doing a bad job at it at the moment mate, bet your builder will be glad to get out of your property, and if you doubted your plumbers ability ytour taking a long time to out him.

as said I dont think the plumber has done a good job but to be judged on here without any form of recourse is not fair I for one would not relish the thought of being judged on here behind my back and having a customer quoting stuff from tinternet to me

It will much better if the builder supplies the plumber subject to approval.

Show him Dans pic as an example of what you are expecting, you have plenty of room so no excuses.

For what it's worth I doubt the first chancer is registered, and probably not even a plumber. Was he English and able to read the Installation manuals.

If you mean the picture of the cylinder in this thread , its mine, if not apologies.

I'm sorry Ian but i totally disagree with you, the "plumber" was given a job to do, plenty of room to set the pipework up correctly & neatly, the OP has been lead to believe that the plumber knew what he was doing & had the correct certs to carry out the work safely, he has done none of this & left the OP with a complete mess & a dangerious install.

There is no excuse for anything he has done & therefore he deserves everything he has got on this thread & a whole lot more.

The sooner these incompetent fools are drummed out of our business the better & if i saw this guy in the merchants i would tell him exactly the same

CTP is that really your installation that everyone is talking about ? if so great as you will read I will relish your chance to defend yourself rather than everyone talking behind your back

Sorry Sooey but the Ops post that lasted 10 pages install was better than yours , in the words of our Tony start your own post
