Zion and the Art of Armageddon

Hamza points to an issue unknown to many in Israel, namely that convicts were released en masse from Gaza’s jails, and that there is a lack of law enforcement in the Gaza Strip. According to Hamza, this paved the way for the establishment of several gangs working with Hamas militants to plunder humanitarian aid.

Hamas will insist their fighters take priority for food and water to maintain the fight against Zionist invaders.

Hamza says that Hamas was losing support in Gaza before October for a variety of reasons, including the social and economic conditions, represented in the number of immigrants who fled Gaza before the war and the anti-Hamas riots which took place in July.

Another good reason to take the fight to Israel rather than sitting back under siege. (It still doesn't exempt Zionist settlers from stealing land in the West Bank.)

“It’s not easy to give an answer for a question like this, but I believe that peace and coexistence won’t be applicable by one party,” Hamza answers thoughtfully. “For that to happen, the Palestinian side should take significant steps to de-radicalize the society starting by reforming the educational system, renewal of religious discourse, and to invest their budget in providing jobs for their people. On the other hand, the Israeli government must be committed to withdraw from Gaza, West bank, and East Jerusalem.”

Israel, too, should reform their education system and tell the ultra-orthodox Jews to put a sock in it, but let's face it. That just ain't gonna happen.

Ro Khanna, Biden campaign surrogate, believes US president should take tougher line with ‘insufferably arrogant’ Israeli PM...Biden, Khanna said, needed to set out “clear consequences for Netanyahu” if Israel does not change course.
“He needs to say, ‘I’m for Israel, but I’m not for this extreme rightwing government.’ And that means if [Netanyahu] defies the United States, not allowing aid, or going into Rafah” – which Biden has said must not happen but Netanyahu has said will – “[then] no more weapons transfers … unconditionally.

I think a new thread lisitng Netanyahu's war crimes will be necessary when the dust settles...

An Israeli tank that killed a Reuters journalist and wounded six others in Lebanon last year fired two 120mm rounds at a group of “clearly identifiable journalists” in violation of international law, a UN investigation has found.

“The firing at civilians, in this instance clearly identifiable journalists, constitutes a violation of UNSCR 1701 (2006) and international law,” the Unifil report said, referring to security council resolution 1701.

Fair comment, but let's not forget UN resolution 1701 also calls for the disarmament of armed groups such as Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Fancy a game of UN resolution bingo?

This is when Israel shelled a reporter when there was no active fighting going on. Resolutions aren't interesting here, deliberately murdering reporters is important.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday called on Israel to hold new elections, saying he believes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has “lost his way” and is an obstacle to peace in the region amid a growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Schumer, the first Jewish majority leader in the Senate and the highest-ranking Jewish official in the U.S., strongly criticized Netanyahu in a 40-minute speech Thursday morning on the Senate floor. Schumer said the prime minister has put himself in a coalition of far-right extremists and “as a result, he has been too willing to tolerate the civilian toll in Gaza, which is pushing support for Israel worldwide to historic lows.”

Benny Gantz must've had a word or two in the right places last week - time's running out for Netanyahu.

It's been Israel's policy to hunt down and murder all journalists in Gaza to prevent the truth getting out.

That's been well covered by our own media. AlJ had another senator on who has similar feeling. He mentioned that the US does have a rule concerning the weapons they sell into conflicts. If aid is being prevented from getting in they will only sell defensive stuff. It states US aid though.

A UK lady has been on twice but I didn't catch her name. She mentioned drivers sitting in aid trucks for a month and lots waiting to get in. Also rule changes - no timber (ie crates) at one point and no metal more recently - so canned food wasn't allowed in. The idea is nothing that may be of use to HAMAS. It seems Israel will be checking where ever or how ever it gets in. Air drops ???? She also feels that the UK is harming it's reputation by it's lack of actions / talk.

Seems Israel does have a plan for evacuating Rafar and if the US thinks that is ok conditions for an attack are met. Blinken says he hasn't seen it. Biden speak - mainly not killing lots. Islands of refugees in central areas mentioned. This is the general attitude the US seems to have - just don't kill too many. There is bound to be a lot of noises if an attempt is made to move 1.5m people and going on similar some wont go. Israel wants to annex the extreme south of Gaza.

The military pontoon is some time away. The 200tonne from Cyprus may be an exaggeration. 160 has been mentioned A 2nd larger one is being loaded but some are wondering about where the trucks needed at the other end will come from. The road that allows easy access to the north may be open or may have been briefly.

Surely the Israeli apologists on here should be calling out Schumer as an 'anti semite'?

After all anyone who dares to criticise bibi and the state of Israel is anti semitic, aren't they?

He'd better not comment on the Israeli army desecrating Arab cemeteries with tanks and bulldozers, then.
