How are they rationing the fuel ?

are the pumps pre set to only deliver £ 30 or what ever

filled up last night about 10 ish

they had a note on the pump saying limited to 30£

as a key worker I brimmed the van more than £30 no one said any thing to me and the pump delivered the fuel

Drove past 3 petrol stations yesterday - one closed, two with dozens of cars queueing out onto the road.

Havent got much driving to do over the next few days, which is just as well, as Ive only got about 10l left. Kicking myself, as Thursday evening I drove past one selling regular unleaded for 129.9, and I thought "ooh, thats not bad, I should fill up", and then I was past, and CBA to turn round and go back.

no it isn't. But there is a shortage at some retail outlets, which will shortly get much worse.

When the NHS and teachers asked for a wage increase Tory bots on here were foaming at the mouth. It seems that its ok to exploit teachers and NHS staff.

Now the Government has done a U-turn and opened up Visas so your argument that they want to help out exploited workers falls flat again.

It's more the inequality that has a factor tied into wages, but it also spans services and quality of life. Raising incomes is good but not when inflation eats it away.

I've been an immigrant. I have no problem with good decent people trying to make a good living and a life for their families.

It's the foreigners who get exploted more so. As alot of the locals will simply not put up with low wages and poor conditions, just to serve those with multiple property's and wealth.

But if you think uncontrolled immigration has no bearing on wages and working conditions then you really are a blind a fool or someone makes out of others misery and misfortune.

I've been an immigrant.

Same here. South Africa in the early eighties but before I could go there, I had to have a work permit and a job offer for a job that could not be filled by a South African, I had to have a health check including a chest X-ray for TB, a guarantee of a return flight by my employer for when the job finished and private medical insurance. That’s as it should be.
