I know if I had been raped and forced to carry a child, I'd probably consider topping myself for sure. It is a proper mind f*** of a situation to be in.

I don't suppose the pro-life people in America even looked at the possibility of changing the support system either. If America supported the child and mother then I may have thought it was more about saving lives but alas there is bugger all for them.
The women that this will effect worse are the ones in low income, making life even harder, the ones who find access to free birth control difficult as they cannot afford medical insurance. Children end up unwanted, neglected, living in poverty and that itself can have a negative impact in crime too.

At the end of the day, none of this is important to me as the one basic thing and that's it is controlling women - it's backwards. If I was living in the USA, I would stop having sex. Something natural and normal has become too risky.

If you follow the Fundamentalist Christian logic that the right to life begins at conception, then they must be denied the abortion. The fundamentalists just don't like to discuss it because they know the rest of the world finds it distasteful/barbaric.

And also, anyone who has a miscarriage should be investigated for child endangerment or murder. They might not have done anything wrong but it'll need to be investigated, and if they did take part in any risky or unrecommended behaviour then to court they will go.

Anyone who's at high risk of ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage should also be at risk of prosecution of they fall pregnant.

I have no problem about some women being anti-abortion. That's their choice.
Having the chance to be able to chose freely is what I have a problem with - women are no longer in control of their bodies or their future. It's disgusting.

There can be a numerous reason why a women should be able to have an abortion. I know of a couple that did. Probably illegal. Why. Both needed to work, living in a rather crap small cold damp flat. Effectively very concerned about trying to bring a child up given their situation at the time. Contraceptive failure. They were very disturbed about what had to be flushed down the toilet, I've never asked how it was done but all went ok as far as the lady was concerned sometimes it doesn't. This was my brother. Later they finally moved into somewhere more suitable and could afford a kid with a bit of a struggle so had a planned one. Finished up with 3 all grown up now some with their own kids.

You tell me - was this the right or wrong thing to do?
