I'm really, really angry that Philip Davies used to deny he was having a relationship with Esther McVey, when they lived in the same flat. Can the police investigate this as well to see whether he was lying.

You can't help yourself, can you? You always need to embellish. You have no idea whether she has these records or not. It's a bit like the rental income you claim she failed to declare

I'm sure if I filed a capital gains position on a 150k investment property with 50k of it as gains, that magically claimed I had no tax to pay. I'd get a letter from HMRC and it wouldn't be a thank you letter.

I favour an official investigation that looks at all the evidence and delivers an enforceable ruling.

I favour the same for the Bra Baroness.

It's no more than Nadhim Zahawi rightly got when he was found out dodging tens of millions of tax.

I have said several times that, from the information we have so far, the arrangement she describes seems very unusual.

Do you think she followed the rules.

I don't know whether she has followed every last rule to the letter. She may well not have filed a CGT form after selling her house. But does it matter if it turns out there was no tax to pay. Does it really require a police investigation. Maybe stand back and have a look at the big picture!
