Nope.

They are merely being consistent and standing by the rules.

Rules that the UK agreed to and helped to write in the first place!

rules

They were written by people who never for a moment considered that any one would want to leave ;)

could hold another referendum after all that is the general EU policy , keep having one until u get the answer you want :)

The Uk may well be the first to leave , but we will not be the last

Perhaps the EU should soften there stance and let the Turks join up ;)

Not really, we haven't left yet, still pay our dues and are excluded from any decisions.
Them's the rules.

That's what happens after a country triggers article 50.

An article drafted by a Brit btw - Lord Kerr

But after all, no use whining now - because we've been told leavers knew what they were voting for!
The Uk may well be the first to leave , but we will not be the last
Nope, just the first sovereign country to leave - the territory of Greenland left in '85.

It only took three years to negotiate what was effectively the only contentious issue - namely fishing rights.
(although Greenland did 'get their cake and eat it', since they are still receiving EU funding and have freedom of movement due to them being in the 'realm of Denmark'!)

But do I detect a wish on your behalf that more countries should leave?

Because if so, be careful what you wish for. Europe is still a volatile area, and the EU has undoubtably been a stabilising influence!

I'll think we'll find that the cost of the customs debacle and the infrastructure to enforce it will outweigh the contributions we make to the EU on it's own!

With all the other downsides put into the mix, the current austerity we are living under will be but the tip of the iceberg as cuts in income and publice services.

So I have another question for brexiteers.

Exactly how much are you willing to lose before the ideology of leaving makes no sense to you?

You know they won't answer.

They won't tell you which of the four available options they thought they were voting for

They won't tell you how much they are willing to lose

They won't tell you who is going to do all the jobs that foreigners used to do (especially in the NHS)

They won't tell you where they want the new Border Posts to be around Northern Ireland

But we do know that lots of them are happy to see job losses and damage to the economy

As appaling as those figures are, roughly 1/5 admitted they 'don't know'!

And there I was thinking they knew what they were voting for, because they told us that was the case!

What idiot voted for that?

fair enough... we were told this would happen? seems like you given notice on your gym membership only to be told you're now no longer allowed to use the gym whilst you still pay. that's rubbish.

You'd accept that commercially?

you're still allowed to use some of the gym facilities, at times they are made available for non-members, provided that you obey the gym rules (set by the members' committee, obviously) and provided that you pay the fees for non-members' use (obviously). If you don't agree, then you can't (obviously)

You are no longer a member so are no longer allowed to vote at the AGM (obviously) or on other matters (obviously)

Did anyone seriously expect anything else?

You'd accept that commercially?
We have clever people that look at the rules before signing up to any membership agreement.
I wouldn't want to give a hopelessly inept banking boss a multi million pound bonus upon leaving the a loss making business either. Agreements eh.

The only people that didn't know what they were voting for were those that voted to remain ..........far right making headway in Europe over the fiasco of unrestricted immigration. Hungary spitting feathers over the lack of support with immigration costs Italy on the way out with dissatisfaction of how the EU is slanted towards Germany. Riots in france over possible cuts to the bloated public sector. Germany wanting to kick out loads if immigrants.

The EU isn't stable forget the media go on you tube type in troubles in ( any EU country of your choice ) and see whats happening.

A few little gems .....Damn krauts !!!

Fishing policies decided by landlocked countries !

Sensible chap .....

And finally Farage right again !
