When labour were in opposition they banged on about it all the time - every piece to camera - every MP interview - PMQs but now they are in power - nothing at all about it. Is it over then
This is the same nonsense as your BBC blackout bollards

Rachel from accounts has more to worry about than exaggerating on her cv - she is keeping everything crossed that not too many pensioners will die after she took away their £300 heating help
80% of pensioners own their own homes so they aren’t poor

And the remaining 20% get pension credit.

Why are well off pensioners going to die if it snows ?

There’s nothing like a budget that inspires confidence and this budget was nothing like a budget that inspired confidence.

So that’s pensioners, farmers, house buyers, private schools, high street businesses and those that work in them that the government have hit. So far. Doing well aren’t they?

According to the watchdog, the UK will grow by 0.6% this year - considerably better than what it expected last autumn, when it predicted the economy would fall into recession and shrink.

However, it slashed its growth outlook to 0.7% in 2024 and 1.4% in 2025 - down from a previous forecast of 1.8% and 2.5%.

Still much higher than the Tory figure you posted of 0.5%

You missed out "the wealthy" (y)

Last quarter of growth under the Tories was 0.5%, that's fallen to 0.1% in the first quarter of a Labour Govt.
That 0.1% is last quarter which ends Sept. The ONS report goes into a lot of detail and puts the earlier figures down to wage increases. :) So if you want to be confused read it. All of it.

The figure may be updated for a couple of months ahead but is usually pretty close.

You could also look at the monthly figures where you will see growth is flat since Sept 22 with a bit of an increase in Sept 24.

Both links give details of the performance of various sectors.
