Cat5 what router?

That's a whole new world of I.T Jargon to confuse me, I've gone into my profile, searched to give access and failed :D
As it looks on my screen:

What ive done so far...and still need help please...maybe I've bought the wrong thing I don't know...

Cat5 all connected and tested.

Bought a TP Link Archer C50.

Connected it to the Ethernet cable that goes into the main router and went into the Quick Set Up Menu.

I've set it up as an Access Point as that seemed logical, on both bands 2.4 and 5 ghz. Everything thereof completely bamboozled my brain.

Cat5 is connected to Lan Port 1 on the house router and into a Lan Port on the TP link "probably no.1" I have WiFi but no internet, I've gone back into settings for further bamboozlement, followed you tube videos and still no internet in the summer house/Shed.

Would you mind guiding me again please?

For simplicity sake, use a short cable, connect it, complete the setup and check it operates in the house.
If it then doesn't work in the garden room, it's likely to be an issue with your new cable.

...and looking up the C50 (is it the AC1200?) - it's a router rather than an access point - hence the added complexity...

Did you follow the instructions to set up access point mode?...

I used the shorter cable in the house and the Internet on it worked.

Plugged it in in the GR in the WAN port other end in Lan Port in house, I just get an orange light and that's it.

Yes I connected the C50 to my laptop to change the settings to Access Point etc.

I can get a Cat6 cable run if the cable is the issue, do you think?

If it worked in the house, but not in the GR, then as above, I would suspect bad/mismade connections.
Can you post a decent pic of the connections, and we may be able to double check the wires are in the correct places?

To prove a point ….plug in the cat 5 cable and plug in your laptop at the other end …can you get an internet connection ? If not then it’s a cable fault …..how did you test the cable ?

Try and answer everyone, I used a network cable tester, the master at one end and the little one at the other, the numbers sequenced correctly from 1 to 8 so there's no fault in the cable.

Apparently setting the tp link settings to a Static connection should solve the problem, according to something I just read..

I am like a Dog with a Bone. I've gone into the router settings of our Vodafone WiFi hub and found the WAN IPV4 Address which i think I need, can't find LAN settings but I have got the IP address.........

Shouldn't this be the WAN or Internet port?
That's interesting, I have a selection of old routers which I put into service on a private network as required, I use a LAN port and use as a hub and WiFi, however there is no internet access on the system.

As above, access point mode needs minimal configuration - and you've already said it worked when connected directly to the router.
I used the shorter cable in the house and the Internet on it worked.
There would be no need for any changes to the config, if it worked in the house.

As @sparkymarka suggested, have you tried...
plug in the cat 5 cable and plug in your laptop at the other end
