central heating from a log burner

Surely you connect both connections to the rad to both connections to the heater, teeing off from one of them to go to the header tank to act as the fill/expansion pipe?

If its a back n baffle boiler and not wrap around it will be less than 2kwh output
I poured water in it other day and it came stright out so cant see much of a tank there really

What do you think the minimum a tank would hold?

So is my latest diagram right then?
 
Are there firebricks each side with the boiler forming the rear wall,then sloping upwards and forwards to form like a roof over the firebox

Yes fire bricks at the walls. yes boiler forms rear wall and yes slopes upwards

Thanks! But I still feel it could and sometime dose more then that. What makes you say or think 3.5KWh though as you seam to know a bit about the log burner in question As I would say more 5Kwh

So lets just say we keep it nice and simple for now and hot water tank for washing only and no rads. Apart from the "safety header radiator" needing air venting and an inlet and out let on the header tank. Dose my latest diagram look ok?
