Starlight ceiling - you could spend a fortune and an eternity fitting thousands of mini leds or paint the ceiling black then brush flick white paint at it.
Well it’s been nearly 2 years so I thought i’d better crack on.
Got the garage door bricked up, window in, floor done and today a platform measured and made.
Looking to buy the panel for the centre now but not sure what to get. I want something thin if possible so i’m not loosing my 3” drop too much. Would a pvc panel do the job?
That's not a very flattering photo ! and I thought you meant a ceiling with an art deco light in the middle and vents to let the smoke out - like the last time I was in a cinema
So you’re going for a recessed central part.... I went the opposite way round and dropped the central part. Leds hidden round the edge.... all bling like! Might be cheaper!

I’m thinking Matt black 6mm ply or 6mm mdf, spaced on 6mm thick square blocks that I can screw through into the joist to stop the fibre pieces crushing.
I watched a vid on YouTube and it looked like he used thin mdf:
Does that sound about right?
Put London Bridge up last night, the couch and step hides the best bit but for £20 it will do
