My posts this morning are about. Lets live in an equal society. Where not one person has more rights than another person.

In a very long winded sort of way.....that's what I'm saying.
Suella is enough of an answer

So you are a communist then... fair enough at least that's a clear mission statement, congratulations, whilst I cannot agree with your politics I do applaud your moral courage, best pop a note in to the King.

I have often thought that maybe the communist way could be the right way.

I don't know much about it but the fundamentals of it work.

Kibbutz springs to mind. It all sounds romantic, but in a modern world it doesn't really work.

communist
Just what is a communist these days? The old definition
Communism (from Latin communis, 'common, universal')[1][2] is a left-wing to far-left sociopolitical, philosophical, and economic ideology within the socialist movement,[1] whose goal is the creation of a communist society, a socioeconomic order centered around common ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange that allocates products to everyone in the society based on need.[3][4][5] A communist society would entail the absence of private property and social classes,[1] and ultimately money[6] and the state (or nation state).

It's seldom been like that and is even further away now.

That would take away the fun of lucky dip... Day three in the bunker... who gets the pickled herring conundrum, hours of fun.

Hardly practical is it

Mind you fish products in many cases come in a different style of can / tin than say prunes ?

So one is less likely to make a mistake ?? May be ?? But a permanent marker imo should be part of the survival kit

You seem to be promoting a survival kit.

Have you got yourself a bunker?

No point in having all those tins labelled if you're not around to open them

But thank you for confirming that you reckon that it's a good idea to inflict something on younger generations that you didn't have to do!
So if someone that had done national service thinks it’s a good idea, that would make it okay then, would it? It’s thanks to those people that did do national service that we aren’t all talking in German now!

I don't think it started until after WWII?

Until the reaction to my post, I hadn't realised how much of a problem some people have with the word gammon. I've just been doing a bit of Googling. I have to say, I find the whole thing ridiculous. In the same way that it would be ridiculous to claim that calling somebody a redneck is racist. Both terms can be insulting, but they are about attitude and worldview, not actual skin colour. To compare gammon with the N word or the P word is not just illogical, but absurd. I also find it ironic, and amusing, in equal measure that the type of people who will often claim that hating Muslims can't be racist (because Islam is not a race), will then claim, with a straight face, that taking the p1ss out of the golf club bore actually is racist. Clearly it's a term they don't like. I don't really know why. But maybe a better sense of humour might help them deal with it.
