Conservative vote winner?

So multiculturalism does not work then.
The army aspect would probably help with racism. Some people need exposure to realise that all are just people. There is also a degree of racism between coloured races. It might help with that too. However when I have come across people with some degree of racism they have generally been older than me. Brexit though - ????? It has changed things for some.

Tory voters fall for the blame game every time

Tory austerity: “oh look over there it’s all the fault of EU”
Tory economic failure: “oh look over there it’s all the fault of foreigners”
Tory NHS failure: “oh look over there it’s all the fault of doctors”
Tory economic failure: “oh look over there it’s all the fault of people in small boats”
Tory economic failure: “oh look over there it’s all the fault of people on benefits”
Tory failure on employment “oh look over there it’s all the fault of people who have mental health issues”
Tory general election “ oh look over there it’s all about lazy teenagers”

Here is the actual truth: The last 14 years of failure is the fault of Tories
one thing i will agree with you.
Care in the community has certainly failed you

NWGS you said you left Labour because of Jeremy Corbyn, so presumably you will be rejoining them and voting Labour this time.
No as I’ve said numerous times now, I won’t be wasting my vote.

You said you were Labour until Corbyn

Corbyn is not part of Labour, so on that basis voting wouldn’t be a waste, it would be doing what you’ve always done.

No they are a shower of **** now, so I wont vote for them.

It’s simple really.

National service will never happen. It's just Tories giving the impression they're still conservative. I wonder if there's going to be an election soon?

Next they'll be 'promising' to lower immigration and taxes. They fall for it every time!

Your wrong on the Indian aspect and very probably others. The Indian aspect might be described as more coloured. Direct experience thanks to taking a friend of my son to an Indian restaurant when he was rather young. Water off the ducks back for the friend. He was used to it. My son - he explained the situation. Junior school times. Mixed races in his case.

It really doesn't.

Stamping out racism in the army is an ongoing challenge and conscripting people and dramatically widening the pool of instructors will only dilute the quality.

Like me, you came along after conscription. I thought of joining up but never did, you did and I get the impression you served in the RAF, had a good and disdinguished career and went on to serve well in education rising to Headmaster, did your service help in that direction? I've always seen the armed forces as a stepping stone, a training ground, a path for kids to come out of poor areas and advance themselves (or get killed tbf).
Attitudes change but I'm surprised you see it as a negative.
I'm being realistic. I know that the forces at the time (esp near the end) were much more disposed to an all volunteer force than conscription. And it would be, I'm certain a poor imitation of national service, with corralling being the main aim. As for the forces being a stepping stone for advancement- absolutely. But after one year?

Please think before you post.
