There was a large degree of racism between, blacks, coloured and Asians when I was in South Africa many years ago.

it came as something of a surprise to me that we have some degree of it here.

I have seen signs of friction between a Sikh and a Hindu I worked along side with. Rather different as no signs at all before certain things went on in India for a short period. I assume it was short as no news here. They of course hear about it.

Another case. A born here African. Highly qualified and also intelligent. His parents gave him an english forename and no problems with the surname. He did get interviews. A friend of his, similar never did just due to his name. My boss at the time who employed him grew up in the normal areas of Handsworth. Hard not to be multicultural coming from there.

Me - a change of director. I mentioned interviewing some one with an odd name wondering mainly about their current work area, The director said I don't want any of those here. The previous one wouldn't have said anything like that. More concerned about getting work done and him being a useful person.

Actually the same method used with the Police went in yonks ago. It takes time. It helps. There is always inertia.

Your also being racist in a certain way inferring a drop in quality due to race. Do you apply that to GPs, nurses, MP and many other areas? The main problem with conscription is lack of choice and introducing it. Colour etc irrelevant in that respect.

No you illiterate twonk. The instructors would have to be scaled up from the existing army. It's common for more promising junior NCOs to do a stint in a training role but the pool isn't infinite and not many would be looking forward to a year of babysitting people who don't want to be there.

I don't mean to be rude but what ? A born here African... so a British person then not an African.. is the population of Kent born here French then ? So he was well qualified and also intelligent...so how would he become well qualified without being intelligent ? He had to disguise his origins to get a job and that's multicultural ?

Fell upon me to advise and give him some sound advice
