A bit obvious, I'd have thought.
If someone says, "look at all those people in boats", it would have no political meaning.
But to suggest that someone says, "look at all those brown people in boats" has an obvious political meaning, obviously referring to refugees crossing the channel, who are not indigenous to UK.
So, nothing to do with personification.

A picture is worth a thousand words...

On the front pages, Mail and others, that I've scanned online, I haven't seen any pictures of migrant and/or asylum seeking people that I would refer to as brown-skinned. TBH I wouldn't refer to anyone's skin colour at all, but that's just me. Why are Notchy and JohnD making an issue out of people's skin colour that isn't an issue? What's their beef with brown-skinned people, because they sure have one.

So Notch (and JohnD) made up his 'brown skin' allegations.
I made no allegation

so that's debunked your bunkum

stop using pedantry to deflect from the reality: right wing media get right wing supporters enraged at the thought of a few foreigners arriving in boats on our shores.

fear and hatred of foreigners: trade in stock for RWR.

They don't have an issue. That's your version of a strawman argument.
They are using that example as a caricature of the generic headlines usually found in right-wing tabloids.
It's a caricature that everyone can associate with.

Caricature and cartoon, in graphic art, comically distorted drawing or likeness, done with the purpose of satirizing or ridiculing its subject. Cartoons are used today primarily for conveying political commentary and editorial opinion in newspapers and for social comedy and visual wit in magazines.

Caricaturesque examples need not be limited to visual art.

No, you tell us how it does. If you can't, then it doesn't.

Good grief. We wouldn't want that, would we.
I can, but I'm waiting to address your concerns. If you can't explain your concerns, then either you don't have any, or, if you do, I don't know what they are.

I made no allegation

You've made multiple allegations that the migrants and asylum seekers crossing the Channel in boats are brown-skinned (search on your user name and brown). They're not. I'm not even sure what a brown-skinned person is - a light complexioned black person, a tanned white person, an olive Mediterranean tone, those from the sub-continent..........?

Even if there were a large number of people of a particular skin colour - so what? What is it's relevance? Why are you banging on about it? What's your problem with skin colour?
