EU being spiteful again?

USA hasn't approved AstraZeneca vaccine yet....I think the outcome of that will be a defining point for it.

What about the BBC then?
What about the BBC?

You are showing two differing storylines. The truthful BBC is saying that some countries are pausing the vaccine.

The bulls hit Wail is saying that all the countries that are pausing the vaccine are being spiteful because another vaccine causes clots and they are not pausing that one.

What a load of baloney.

Blood clots are a symptom of Covid, so it's possible the vaccine take up in UK has reduced how many people have had clots recently

Brexit is pretty low on the domestic interest of European countries so putting the AZ vaccine on hold is unlikely to have any connection with Brexit.

I was just posting the headlines and asking a question. See the thread title.

Looking on the bright side, Macron has flushed the French economy down the toilet pan as they look to enter another lockdown.

No, it's quite high on their agenda actually, and incidentally, Italy have conceded that their decision to ban the Astra vaccine was 'political'.

Love it.(y)

Yes and Italy are 'on the brink'.
And Greece are 'ready for Grexit'
And Germany are 'on a final warning'
And 'Frexit in the balance'

lol. Dail Mail readers, FFS.

I'm talking internationally, deaths after the AZ vaccine, not just UK.
  • Austria: One 49-year-old woman died while a 35-year-old woman developed a pulmonary embolism and is recovering, after taking the shots, a health agency said
  • Italy: Italy prosecutors seize batch of AstraZeneca vaccine after death of man
I suspect France, Germany, et al report similar cases.

As I said previously, since vaccinations have started in the UK roughly 150,000 people have died, the majority in the over 70's group.

Let us say at least 100,000 of them in that group, have died over the last 3 months.( it's probably more).

So over 90 days there have been 1,111 deaths per day, some of whom would have died fairly soon after the vaccine, a few probably on the same day.

All of which was to be expected, and is normal.

For EU countries to discredit this vaccine is dangerous for the general population of Europe.

European politicians are not going to come out of this well.
