EU being spiteful again?

As I said previously, since vaccinations have started in the UK roughly 150,000 people have died, the majority in the over 70's group.

Let us say at least 100,000 of them in that group, have died over the last 3 months.( it's probably more).

So over 90 days there have been 1,111 deaths per day, some of whom would have died fairly soon after the vaccine, a few probably on the same day.

All of which was to be expected, and is normal.

For EU countries to discredit this vaccine is dangerous for the general population of Europe.

European politicians are not going to come out of this well.
I suspect thy can tell difference between died from/with Covid, and died from blood clot.
I suspect they'll come out of it a lot better than BJ.
I suspect his 'Brutus' are already gathering.

Yes it is, the slow vaccine rollout is a real worry for the citizens of Europe....and sadly will probably result in more deaths from Covid.

But I think their politicians are reacting to the publics fear, I don't think it has anything to do with UK or Brexit (if it has, I'm happy to be corrected)

Italy for example:
"On Monday, a mere 66 people showed up to the Perugia vaccination center for their appointments to get the AstraZeneca COVID jab. Health officials there had been planning to give out 2,600.

"It was a desert," one local official told Fortune. Almost nobody came to get their AstraZeneca shots as confusion and fear gripped Italians on whether it was safe to take—or even available."

As has been pointed out by scientists in this country, fewer people have died of blood clots after having the vaccine, than would normally have been expected.

Let us hope it's not politically driven, as has been suggested.

Surely not this.........."We can't supply the vaccine let's discredit it"...........:whistle:

Said on the radio this morning or indicated that it’s been politicised

started with some dodgy article in some dodgy paper in Germany

About not giving it to over 60s

scoundrel Macron seized upon this fake news and ran with it

typical of Macron and the French IMO

the French have there own agenda
Always have tis who they are tis what they do

Maybe the stitch up by AZ on the breakdown of the delivery schedule has something to do with it.
Just speculating.

Apparently the Belgys have not fallen into line with the french and Germans
Over this vaccine caper

What about the Guardian or has that lost credibility recently?

Notice the “unhelpfull comments from EU politicians” bit.

Maybe the restriction of vaccine exports from UK has something to do with it.
Just speculating.
