The vaccine? Why do you think most schoolkids were vaccinated? If it stops you getting it, which it sometimes does, then you can't pass it on. Think about it.

Sweden also implemented heavy restrictions. There was a period where they used guidance rather than law to reduce spread, but that's because they're a more community minded country than we are.
The antivaxers ignore the details and the Swedish inquiry that said they should have locked down harder and faster.

Plus that advice was updated in Feb 2022 when Omicron was running riot. In the pandemic. 16-17 year-olds were being advised to have it by Sept 2021, again that was in the pandemic.
Children who lived with immunocompromised people were also advised to get vaccinated.
