Farage Kent Coast discuss

Well, he might say he is collecting information for his radio programme.

If he did happen to see some immigrants landing, then ...

Why would you not want a card? Strange question and irrelevant tbh.
It's not irrelevant, nor is it about not wanting one.

My point is that with some NUJ memberships, you don't get offered a card. So, the police may ask for you card as "proof" you are a hack, but not having one does not mean you are not one, or a member of the NUJ.

STFF. What do you consider to be a reliable news source? Personally, I think of all the papers, The Independent is the most reliable.

I don't understand what you're trying to say, what do you mean not offered? If you're a journo, and you pay for your membership of the NUJ, why would you not ask for a press card/pay for the membership that includes one? Without a card the job may be limited so it makes no sense.

The Independent... full of fully bonafide journos?! Grins. Yeah, they're an ok paper imo - I read a few papers (online) coz I find it interesting.

There are certain types of membership with the NUJ where you can pay to join but don't receive a card. You are not given one, it's not a choice whether you have one or not, you just don't get one.

All working journos can apply for a card once membership has been approved.

Would it be treated any differently if he had, rather than post a video, phone 111 and report the landing instead?

In all honesty, why does he need to do it? Authorities are aware, we are all aware that there are illegal immigrants coming over by boat. Why does he need to parade up and down a beach, spouting his hatred?

Maybe because Pritti Awful Patel said she would reduce the numbers of illegal economic migrants crossing the channel. The opposite is happening and numbers are going up - a lot. People need to know of this security threat, especially in these times.

I didn't see any hatred. Just highlighting the lies, dishonesty and inaction of government.

And...

We have mild winters and severe winters. Nothing new.

Irrespective of the weather, what are you and fromage expecting from your crusade? No matter what the government, no matter what the weather, we will always have our share of desperate migrants. Is this the bit where you stand guard on the beach with your rifle and shoot people as they drag themselves up the beach?

What is your solution RAC?

Probably because they didn't arrive in hundreds of thousands..

He's not a journalist! He may be a part-time presenter on a radio station but he's not a journo.
For a start, journalists are supposed to be impartial.... he's certainly not that, not even remotely.

He can only get a journo card from either his place of work or from the NUJ.

There is no such requirement. Journalism is not a protected or regulated profession in the UK. He asserts that he was reporting on Illegal immigrants with Covid symptoms. He has a get out of jail card until someone can prove otherwise.

He's made a complaint https://twitter.com/Nigel_Farage/status/1258423522583613450/photo/1
