Fingers crossed for the 2 astronauts splashing down at 9.57pm

Mars will cost a trillion times more than quick hop into space...

So what. Astronauts know the risks and I’m sure they were involved in the discussions too.

Any extra rescue would have been part funded by the UK whereas I don’t think the UK is funding the Mars work

They'll be a long time in rehab to recover, it seems...

Spending months in microgravity is brutal on the body. Without the Earth’s gravitational pull, muscles shrink, bones weaken and bodily fluids shift.
Astronauts lose muscle mass rapidly because they do not use their legs to support their weight. Their bones become fragile and they lose 1 percent of their bone mass per month – equivalent to an entire year of ageing on Earth..read on @. Al Jazz

They have to do a lot of resistance exercise daily to slow that process

It verifies what I have said about a manned trip to Mars being a pipe dream....." too expensive" being just one of those reasons
9 months travel time each way

and a very thin atmosphere so you cant survive without a space suit

Id rather go to a Greek island

Just watched them on the news they are looking very frail, must be strange coming back to earth.
I heard that she has been to the space station many times and has the record for the most space walks by a female.
But yes, it must be a very strange experience feeling the effects of gravity after so long without it.
